What a difference a day makes!

Dieter's skiing has improved so much each day and today he was jumping on the slopes! Erik and Georg are generally off on the more difficult runs so we don't see so much of them.


Today Dieter joined Erik and Georg ending his day with the "ski out."

















We ended the day with dinner for 12 at the Elk and Oarsman. Our lovely Brittany and her family drove out from Calgary and also joining us were Erik's friend Jacqueline, her brother Brendan, and Mom Renee.

Downtown Banff reminds us of Disneyland!







Dieter participated in a day of fun activities and ski classes on Day 2. The conditions were, again, ideal so we had a full day of skiing. Erik's friend Jaqueline and her family were also skiing so we arranged to meet them for an apres-ski supper at Earls. A good time was had by all.

Happy Easter

We promised the kids more snow this year - and we delivered. So in the spirit of more snow, we agreed to leave sunny Saskatchewan (the hot spot in Canada yesterday) to head for the mountains. A one-hour flight seems so short and sweet after some of the flights we endured last year. We arrived to plus 15 in Calgary, fueling concerns about our quest for snow. Monday morning we awoke to large Charlie Brown snow flakes, resulting in 17 cm of fresh snow at Sunshine Ski Resort.



The fresh powder was amazing.. the weather - a skiers dream.
